“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40

Hands of Hope has been reaching out to the poor, underprivileged, forgotten and homeless of our society since 1990. This can be meeting at a drop-in center run by a church, or spending time with people on the streets. Many people that Joetta shares with don’t even consider themselves worthy to be talked to. It is so humbling to hear the trust that many homeless people place in Jesus and how many of them read their Bible instead of just sitting on their blanket. Many tell Joetta that they pray to Jesus and thank him every morning for waking them up.

Email Joetta. She would love to hear from you! Or catch up with her on her Facebook page.

Ministry Focus

To bring the gospel of Jesus Christ in the following ways.

  • Meeting physical needs. Joetta often gives dry clothing, blankets, and food to people who need it.
  • Developing relationships and friendships with those receiving ministry.
  • Sharing the gospel from deep within her heart. It’s essential that people know that they are receiving ministry from a place of true love, not “feel good” ministry that serves to put another notch in the missionary’s belt.

Vision

Hands of Hope’s desire is to see the forgotten of our society find Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Once they begin to receive the healing they need, they can get off the streets and live the life that God has created them to live. The joy and thankfulness that you see and hear might be someone receiving a used pair of shoes or a warm blanket. So many times we have so much and yet we think we need more. Through the years Joetta has found some of the richest people who love Jesus Christ living on the street. It’s not about material things—God looks at the heart.
