DCFI Mission
Our Mission – Prayer, evangelism and discipleship
Our mission is to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord, obey His Word, and to encourage and equip each believer for the work of ministry. This mission will essentially be accomplished by the threefold mandate God has given us: prayer, evangelism and discipleship.
Prayer In prayer we worship God, we bring our needs and the needs of the world to Him, and we allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, to empower us, and to reveal to us His specific strategies for fulfilling the Great Commission.
Evangelism Through evangelism we seek to make known the glory of God and the name of Christ, through verbal proclamation, publishing, the arts, acts of compassion and service, both to our own neighbors and cities, and also by going to the peoples of the world in cross-cultural mission. We desire to see children, youth and adults come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, the un-evangelized hear the good news and churches planted in all nations.
Discipleship Engaging in discipleship, we build relationship with and care for one another, training each other in godliness and good works, so that we would all be mature disciples engaged in the threefold mission of prayer, evangelism and discipleship. Discipleship thus becomes ongoing, as those who have been trained, in turn, train and disciple others.
We engage in this mission in humility, with dependence on God, and in cooperation with all brothers and sisters in the body of Christ, working for unity in all that we do.
DCFI Plan
By the grace of God we will accomplish our mission by:
- Strengthening our faith through the daily meditation of the Word of God and developing an intimate relationship with Jesus.
- Committing ourselves to other believers in a cell group.
- Praying to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest fields: locally, nationally and internationally.
- Encouraging every believer to be involved in prayer, reaching the lost, and making disciples.
- Helping each believer to learn to serve and discover the gifts and callings within his life.
- Teaching the Word of God with power and authority in a way that is practical and applicable to everyday life.
- Releasing apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry and to build up the body of Christ.
- Training and equipping leadership in home cell groups and congregations to minister to others and to plant new churches.
- Planting and multiplying home cell groups and congregations locally, nationally and internationally through cell-based community churches and mega churches and house church networks.
- Sending laborers to identified harvest fields.
- Caring for, loving, healing, and restoring those who are wounded and need deliverance, healing, and restoration.
- Promoting unity by supporting, networking together and laboring with other churches and ministries locally, nationally and internationally.
- Mobilizing and challenging adults, youth, and children to be radically committed laborers for the harvest.
- Utilizing all forms of media to proclaim the gospel.
- Resourcing each believer through the ministry of helps, administration and communication.
- Ministering to the poor and needy.
- Encouraging each child, young person and adult to be a worshipper.
- Giving of tithes, offerings, material possessions and our time to the building of the kingdom.
- Exemplifying a life-style of accountability, integrity, and purity in every level of leadership and throughout every area of church life.
- Supporting and encouraging the spiritual leaders that the Lord raises up among us.
- Edifying one another daily through encouragement and speaking the truth in love.
- Celebrating Jesus as we come together in various locations to worship together, pray together, and receive the Word of God together.
- Partnering with believers within the DOVE Christian Fellowship International family of churches and ministries who are meeting from house to house and city to city to reach the world together.
- Receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit to minister Jesus to our generation through the demonstration of His supernatural power and gifts.
- Enlisting disciples to carry the gospel to new regions of the earth.
- Training mission personnel in cross-cultural communication of the gospel.
- Placing seeds of mission into the hearts of each new church plant.
- Encouraging youth revival and awakening, and training teenagers and young adults to go into the harvest fields of the world.
- Worshiping our God and Father through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Spiritually fathering and mothering within every sphere of kingdom life as the Lord turns the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers in our day.
